Roseville Family Garden

On the back of a thoughtful home renovation with Benn and Penna Architects we were engaged by the home owners to create a spacious family garden where the children could play and the client could indulge his love of plants and gardening.

The clean lines and contemporary material palette of the new rear renovation was echoed in the hard surfaces of the rear patio and steps with towering Kentia palms providing some proportion and interest. Structure and privacy was created in the garden with solid green hedging to the perimeter whilst allowing multiple layers of infill planting in front to create a sense of depth and colour contrast.

The design stage is the detailing and development of the garden design ideas discussed on-site into a design concept plan providing an overall image of the finished garden. Included is a plan view of the project, perspective sketches of key areas, material suggestions such as paving or tiling elements and finally suggestions for plant material.
