Lilyfield Contemporary Cottage

Contemporary Garden Design

A restored traditional cottage in Lilyfield was reworked into a modern family space. The front of the home had a more traditional treatment with low hedging and soft flowering plants to infill.

The rear of the cottage allowed for a more contemporary treatment which opened the rear space to address the needs of a growing family. A generous entertaining areas with BBQ was separated from the lower transit path and small courtyard with a low water feature. Seasonal planting addresses both the required screening and tells the story of the seasons through the year.
